Coming Together in Strength and Healing
Dear CACF Community:
We are hurt, saddened, and anxious after yesterday’s election. There will no doubt be many challenges ahead, especially for those in our communities who are most marginalized, with broader implications for everyone in our community. The outcome of the election threatens access to healthcare, reproductive rights, quality education, and many other critical supports and services. Immigrant communities will experience increased and justifiable fears.
We have experienced the harms of this administration before, and we know there is strength and healing in our coming together as a diverse and united Asian American and Pacific Islander community across New York. CACF is prepared to fight alongside our community to protect our civil and human rights.
Our Commitments: CACF will continue to connect to our allies and national partners, and strengthen our coalition through building a stronger collective movement towards equity. We will increase our investments in building the community–centered leadership needed both now and into the future. And we will grow our efforts to support and convene our coalition as we advocate for critical policies and resources to protect those who are most marginalized.
Together, we will push through the challenges ahead and continue finding a path towards a more equitable New York.
