Announcing the Awardees of CACF’s 2023 AAPI Community Development Fund

NEW YORK (October 30, 2023) -- The Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF) is pleased to announce the names of the 18 AAPI-led and serving community-based organizations that make up the 2023 recipients of the AAPI Community Development Fund.

A continuation of the AAPI Community Fund, which was created last year through the FY 2021-2022 NY State AAPI Equity Budget, the AAPI Community Development Fund will distribute a total $220,000 to organizations across the state that are currently doing the vital work of challenging anti-Asian hate and bias through building solidarity and community.

“This group of awardees truly showcases the diversity of New York State’s Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in more ways than one. We are so pleased to be able to work with community-based organizations from throughout the state, including Buffalo, the Capitol District, Long Island, and the five boroughs of New York City. We are proud to work with this incredible collection of organizations as they work directly in their communities to holistically address hate and to promote racial healing,” says CACF’s Co-Executive Directors Anita Gundanna and Vanessa Leung. “The geographic scope of our awardees also reflects the tremendous growth of New York State’s AAPI community – the fastest growing in the state – in recent years and the need for proportionate funding and support.”
