FY 2020 Schedule C Analysis

CACF conducts an annual analysis of Schedule C which designates City Council discretionary funds to nonprofit organizations and agency initiatives to meet needs and fill gaps in City Agency services and local projects.

Discretionary funds allocated to Asian Pacific American-led and serving organizations by the New York City Council for Fiscal Year 2020 increased by a little over $500,000 as compared to FY 2019, with a total of $2,927,900. That year, 74 APA-led and serving organizations were awarded discretionary funding, an increase from 56 organizations awarded in FY 2019. However, it is important to note that our organizations only received 4.37% of the total discretionary funding for FY 2020, a decrease from 5.06% for FY 2019. In addition, while more organizations in Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens received higher amounts and percentage of discretionary funds than last year, no organization in Staten Island received any.
