Denis joined CACF as a Program Coordinator in May 2018, and was a Program Associate for the year prior. Her focus is on CACF’s Asian American Student Advocacy Project (ASAP), a youth program for Asian Pacific American public high school students from across New York City to learn leadership and advocacy skills, and the Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund.
Denis graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Psychology and a minor in Anthropology from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Her academic focus was on the development and mental health of Asian American youth.
Denis has previously worked with a research team in Sydney, Australia to study the rates and demographics of female fatalities from domestic violence. She presented her work at the NYU Global Engagement Symposium and co-authored the corresponding paper, which is published in the Journal of Family Violence.
