David Aguilar, LLM, MA
Director of Programs
David is currently the Director of Programs at the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families (CACF). Prior to joining CACF, David briefly served as Assistant Administrator at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. He worked as Program Manager at New York University Center for the Study of Asian American Health where he managed the Alliance of Filipino American Community Health Workers’ program funded by the NIH/ National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to support activities that aimed to promote heart health among underserved and minority populations across the country. He also served as Project Coordinator for Project AsPIRE (Asian American Partnerships in Research and Empowerment), a Community Based Participatory Research study on hypertension among Filipino Americans funded by the NIH/ National Institute on Minority and Health Disparities. He co-authored peer reviewed publications ranging from coalition building initiative to cardiovascular disease studies. David has a post-graduate degree in Management of Non Profit Organizations from Seton Hall University, New Jersey and received his Master’s degree in Law from the Universidad de Navarra, Spain.
